DUCHESS FARM
EQUESTRIAN COMMUNITY
FARM HISTORY
Duchess Farm was established in 1846. In 1953 William and Carolyn Warren purchased the old dairy farm in Marbletown, NY. They devoted themselves to raising a family, and the care of their dairy. Having about 100 Jersey cows at a time, it was one of the largest producers of milk in the area, supplying milk as far away as NYC. Over 50 years later, the Warren's hung up their overalls to retire from farm life.
In 2006 under the stewardship of their son Michael, Duchess Farm was transformed into the first equestrian community in the area. While maintaining the agrarian way of life, the farm will now insure future generations will enjoy and experience the tranquility and beauty this farm has to offer. Our residents will become the future stewards of Duchess Farm.
